Cris is a Filipino-Canadian artist and cultural worker, who has over 10 years experience in the international art-world. In 2007 he began his career as the registrar for Newzones Gallery, a commercial gallery in Canada. In 2008 he moved to Singapore to join the Singapore Tyler Print Institute as an exhibition designer and registrar, working on shows by international artists from the United States, Japan, China and Korea as well as Southeast Asian contemporary artists such as Agus Suwage, Christine Ay Tjoe and Chang Fee Ming. In 2010 he relocated to London to become an estimator for Momart, an industry leader in fine art logistics servicing auction houses, museums, galleries and collectors all over the world. During his time there Cris worked with clients such as Sotheby’s and Christie’s, Deutsche Bank and various blue chip London commercial galleries. In 2013 Cris returned to Manila and has worked as an exhibition design consultant for the Mind Museum before being invited to join Art Provenance as one of the founding Directors in 2015. As an artist Cris has participated in numerous group and solo shows and is now exhibiting in Manila galleries such as Mo_Space X and Finale Art File.
Cris brings a wealth of experiences to Art Provenance via a keen understanding of making, displaying and supporting the needs of artists and artworks. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and studied painting, drawing, printmaking and photography at the University of Western Ontario in Canada.
